Mockingbird Sun - Concert Review and Free Music!

This past Saturday evening my girlfriend and  I tagged along with Jamen to go see Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors and Nashville's Exit/In. My first time hearing The Neighbors as well as attending the awesome bar/ music venue that has been graced with acts ranging from Johnny Cash to Hootie and the Blowfish.

The tickets read that a band named Mockingbird Sun would be opening for Drew Holcomb. I had never heard of them and had no idea what to expect.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the band definitely knew what they were doing and had a fantastic sound.  The 3 man band consisting of Charlie Berry (vocals, lead guitar), Brett Taylor (vocals, rhythm guitar), and Truck Roley (vocals, mandolin, banjo, guitar) continuously blended three-part harmony throughout the entirety of their set with original  songs like Sun Drop  Girl, Simple Life, I Got Your Back (my personal favorite), and Georgia Woman.

I highly recommend checking out Mockingbird Sun if they come anywhere within a 4 hour radius in the coming months, I know you won't be disappointed. You can find their tour dates with Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors at  You can also find and download their EP for free from the same website. Check these guys out and spread the word on this great up and coming group, if not you'll be kicking yourself for missing out.....
