Road Trip Mix - Part 2

Spent another work day today cruising through the artists featured on the Brite Revolution site and came up with another quick list of artists I will pack for my road trip. See the list of my quick picks below.

Also, this post is part of a series of posts on the topic of road trip music. I am trying to create a nice large mix of music that will keep me awake and cruising during my long upcoming drive to visit family. The songs listed below are a sampling of what I plan to take with me. To see some of the other songs I've chosen, select one of the links listed below.

Road Trip Mix Intro: Building My Perfect Road Trip Mix
Road Trip Mix - Part 1

Benjy Davis Project - Mississippi
Category: Sing Alongs

This group is new to me but I dig the two song offering they have featured on Brite Revolution. "Mississippi" is a fun-loving up beat tune that anyone could acquire a taste for. One run through this song and I had the chorus down. A definite road trip sing along.

Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors - My Mary Don't Know
Category: Sing Alongs

If you haven't heard of this group yet, I would like to officially welcome you to our website. We have covered this band so many times that it may be getting a bit out of hand. But lets face the music here, they are a great band that's doing a lot to connect with the fans. There's a lot of free Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors music out there to devour. This song is just another great example.

Dewveall - Virginia
Category: Local Flavors

This song may just be the anthem of the entire trip. My destination just happens to be Virginia and my goal is to not let the Old Dominion state down! After hearing the insights to this song, I'm determined to stick to the sight-seeing plan and have the full experience. Looking forward to new music from this duo. In the meantime, this song will get a lot of play.

Jenny and Tyler - One Eyed Cat
Category: Sing Alongs

I prefer my "Jenny and Tyler" distributed in even proportions. There voices are so complimentary to each other that I like it when the song features both of their voices evenly. I'm not really sure if I have that sort of preference with any other duo, hah. This one gives you a back and forth solo sampling that will keep you humming on and on and on....

Andrew Combs - Tennessee Time
Category: Local Flavors

I really like what Andrew Combs brings to the table. He sounds like a Sunday afternoon porch pickin cowboy. Nothing flashy here, just a good simplistic sound. I might be pushing the limits here to be playing this while driving because it puts you in such a relaxing place. But I may make exceptions.

Lovedrug - Pink Champagne
Category: Guitar Heroes

This is another group we have featured on our site before. Their song "Pink Champagne" is one of the most coveted rock songs I have in my personal music collection. It's just fantastic. I have pledged for the making of this groups next album and I can't wait to add some more solid Lovedrug tunes to my rotation. Fellow drivers beware, I'll be rocking out to this one.
